What is an Employment Pass?

An Employment Pass or EP is a type of work visa issued by Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower to invite foreign professional employees, managers, and owners or directors of Singaporean companies. It allows you to live and work in Singapore, as well as travel in and out of the country without having to apply for entry visas.

An EP is usually valid for 1-2 years and can be renewed after. Possessing an EP also makes it easier for you to apply for permanent residence (PR) in Singapore.

How do I get an Employment Pass?

Your professional quality and suitability with employers will be evaluated. We will submit your CV with relevant professional experience, educational data, and company profile for obtaining an EP. Your regular salary must be at least S$6,000, especially if you wish to bring your family with Dependant's Passes.

Can I transfer an Employment Pass or Dependant's Pass I have to my new company?

No, EPs and DPs are issued per one specific company. You can only work for the employer that sponsors your visa. So after you’ve incorporated, your new business has to apply for your new EP.
